Allah says about the fasting person:

“wu jis ne apna khana, peena, or khwahishat ku mere liye tarak kiya or roza rakha to me us k liye nawazun ga kyun k roza mere liye he or roze me har ache kam ka sawab da guna barha diya jata he.” [Sahih Al Bukhari 1894]
